Homeland Security Bill and Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals....Eli Lilly was going to get sued by parents who felt their children were harmed by vaccines made by Eli Lilly.A "rider" was attached to the bill that created the Homeland Security Dept. The rider prevented people from suing Eli Lilly over their vaccines. It was a Republican from Texas, Dick Armey, that got the rider into the bill.Bush's ties to Eli Lilly go way back. When Bush Sr ran as Reagan's Vice President, he still owned a considerable amount of Eli Lilly stock upon taking office. When He had left the CIA in 1977, he was appointed the director of Eli Lilly by Dan Quayle's father.....

War in Iraq......They were naming all the Operations in Iraq after snakes. The original of this cartoon was sold at an auction for The Shelter House,a local homeless shelter. I scanned this one off a copy that appeared in The Daily Iowan because I couldn't find a good photocopy in the archives....that's why it has that yellowish look to it.
The Case for Impeachment of Dick Cheney,Bush, and friends
Check out this link here, The Case for Impeachment from FromThe Wilderness......John Kerry made a career out of prosecuting criminals. Maybe he can get up on the floor of the Senate and start laying out the case.....

2004 Election Fraud
The Smirking Chimp has a post by Ernest Partridge that addresses the question "Has the case for election fraud been refuted?" Why don't they report this stuff on CNN or ABC?
Dick Cheney's Energy Bill................When this cartoon was initially drawn, the "Iowa Child" that is pictured was left out of the bill. The "Iowa Child" is a plan to build an Indoor Rainforest in Coralville,Iowa. Senator Charles Grassley,Republican Chair of some well connected finance committees was able to shuffle the plan onto another bill, claiming how the project is good for the ecomomy, etc. If the plan is such a great idea, why are we giving tax money to private groups to build this stuff. Meanwhile, the city council in Coralville has seized land from private small businesses in order to build a hotel and conference center near the Rainforest project. Can you smell the corruption?

Trent Lott Emcees the Inauguration
Trent Lott MCing the Inauguration....."When Strom Thurmond ran for President,we voted for him. We're proud of it.And if the rest of the country had followed our lead,we wouldn't have had all these problems over the years." Wow, I guess Trent is cool again in the eyes of the Republiklans....Thanks to Addiestan for the heads up on Trent's speech, and Tom Burka for the link. I'd planned on skipping watching the inauguration (didn't want to spoil my lunch), but I had to see it to believe it...Freedom,Liberty,Resolve,Blah,Blah,Blah....

With the torture story all but vanished from television,
Americans can look the other way rather than confront the
evil committed in our name.

Bush Speech at Arlington National Cemetery 2002.....This,of course, was part of the build up to invading Iraq. Pretty sad when you think about it that the President of the United States was using a speech at a cemetery to pump up the volume on his march to Iraq...The fact that he omitted the historical basis for the founding of this country is not surprising. Dubya is not one to let facts get in the way of a message...

George Bush's New War-ld Order....I see in the news today that Dubya is expressing regret at some of the things he's said in the last 4 years. Gotta keep working on that legacy thing, I guess, so now we'll be seeing the more sensitive side of the president. He won't shoot from the lip, but he'll still shoot from the hip.....
