GW Duncanson

I bought a copy of Extraordinary Mezzanine by GW Duncanson, a comic book of surrealistic watercolor paintings, pop cultural/cartoon images mashed up with high art. I love this book. It's like you're walking through a museum, and a portrait of a stern Lucy Van Pelt is juxtaposed with a portrait of Frida Kahlo while a man with a chainsaw runs past a lonely Air Jordan in the middle of the room.
